The STORIES Behind
MyLittleWhiteSpace
A collection of stories, reflections, and shared moments — from our journey, our partners, and the people who shape MYLITTLEWHITESPACE.
A Client Didn’t Show Up… So We Created a Brand Campaign Instead 🤣
A client didn’t show up, our spontaneous Abu Dhabi location was closed, and the sunrise we woke at 4 a.m. to catch never appeared. Somehow, all of that became a brand campaign—and a reminder of why real people and original creativity remain part of the MYLITTLEWHITESPACE story.
Lion’s Gate Portal - 18day Abundance Practice
They said Lion’s Gate Portal is opening and for 18 days from July 26th until the 12th and its when the cosmic energies are open to stronger manifestations so I decided to begin a small daily practice around the Lion’s Gate season (although I must admit I don’t really know it works 🙈)
Nothing particularly complicated so I can make sure I can stick through it.
Social Media Fast (August 1 - 7, 2026)
What happens when you stop feeding the algorithm for seven days? I joined the August social media fast to find out, and discovered just how much life had been waiting beyond the scroll.
Check out what I’ve been up to :)
Self-care in the Season of a Career Change
If you are in the season of CAREER CHANGE, this blog is for you.
Looking for a job can be exhausting.
You keep showing up, sending applications, and wondering if anything is actually happening. While you're waiting for the right opportunity, don't forget to take care of yourself too.
Your confidence, routine, and mindset matter just as much as your CV. 🤍
HERE'S HOW WE'D CARE FOR OURSELVES IN THIS SEASON.
30-day Walking Challenge - Week-2 Recap
Wow, who else get the wrath of the Mercury retrograde? Goodness gracious me - I kinda wanna cry! Oh wait I think I did - only pretty much almost everyday! But then again I wasn’t too sure if I’m also just emotionally heightened as it’s also around my red days.
Oh to be a woman!
Here’s a quick recap of week 2. On most days, I noticed a drop on my step counts - but it didn’t matter as the goal is different entirely for now. It’s not about how many steps, it’s about building a habit.
Herbal Hair Spray
This herbal spray is specifically designed to support strong growth and moisture retention, especially for 4C hair types. 4C hair types consists of very tight, small coils/curls that are densely packed together
It’s a wonderful way to work with your hands to create a mindful self-care ritual.
30-day Walking Challenge - Week-1 Recap
This was very much on a whim of a challenge that I decided to take on.
Firstly, because I have been really trying to add more out of screen activities. Secondly, my birthday is coming up in less than two months and hey, what better way to tone up a little before then 😝. Lastly, I’ve been building new habits to add on to my routine - so here goes nothing! Fingers cross for me I can stick the 30-days out!
Selfcare Hamper Ideas: Build a Daily Ritual Basket at Home
I curated this hamper not just for its beauty, but for its seamlessness. The hardest part of a self-care habit isn't the act itself—it’s the consistency of keeping the habit. By gathering your kit in one basket—the brushes, the linens, the tools— you remove the friction between your busy day and your quiet reset. When everything is within reach, the habit becomes second nature.
I hope you enjoy these curated selfcare hamper!

Inside the Apothecary: The Art of Sourcing at Dubai’s Traditional Spice Souks
While we source from many parts of the city, today come with mylittlewhitespace as we explore the heart of Old Dubai to discover heritage botanicals for our skinbar. The spice market is a favorite slow stroll part of my work as I take time to smell the freshness of the florals & resins and knowing whose hands weighed your herbs and the organic process they are milled.
Venus Day: Why Friday is the Best Selfcare Day
In traditional astrology, every day is governed by a planet. While Monday is for discipline and Wednesday for endurance, Friday is for the soul. Named after the Old English Frīgedæg—associated with the goddesses Frigg and Freyja (the Norse equivalents of Venus)—Friday is officially Venus Day.
Purposeful Places: From Scroll to the Soulful
Much like Wadi Al Amardi, our mission at MYLITTLEWHITESPACE is to create a destination you would want to intentionally discover. Our quaint shop in Jebel Ali is a place that brings you to a sensorial experience where rediscovering the analog world makes worth of the drive and your stay with us. The tactile joy of creating your own selfcare rituals, the grainy texture of salt scrubs, the aroma of dried herbs — we aren't just a shop; we are a destination for those looking to swap screen time for 'making' time."

The New Social Faux Pas: Why the "always-on" lifestyle has lost its charm
Being "chronically online" is more than a habit; it’s a physiological state that changes how we feel and think. According to new studies, there is growing cultural shift where being "always on" is starting to look less like being "informed" and more like being a passenger to an algorithm.
For the sophisticated, this lends making us less interesting, to becoming embarrassing even, yikes!

Can constant fear make you sick?
Last week I could not change my top without wincing on my left shoulder… then my right foot has me limping on one foot and well.. my fingers decided why not make a triple treat and join the “Shyrell Pain Club” too!
Just my luck! What a week to be so disabled right when there were news of heavy storm, potential tornado and on top of the war 🤦♀️
“life lately” (week 8 and 9 of 53)
We are moving our “life lately”series right over here on the blog!
Where did we left off? I remembered being so excited with the Lunar New Year and new energy the year of the fire horse was to bring.. 👀 - they said it’s a good year for the decisive and the ones who’s got plans! That it’s a year to push forward… is it really though??? 😅 Because judging by what I didn’t know what was to come at the time - I really wish we can turn back the time. 😬
Rose Bath Soak
Roses are widely cited in holistic circles as having one of the highest vibrational frequencies of any plant, measured at approximately 320MHz, whereas a healthy human body operates between 62-72 MHz.
The high vibration of the roses is often used to counter low vibration emotions like grief or pain helping to harmonize the body’s energy centers.
Hibiscus Bath Soak
In Ancient Egypt, hibiscus was used in drinks and treatments to cool and support the body.
Across African and Asian traditions, it was valued for enhancing skin radiance.
Today, it’s known for its natural acids and antioxidant properties.
